Out of work? Live in the boondocks? Here's an idea for you.

There are thousands of counties in the United States that are not served by the 4th estate. No newspaper coverage, no reporters asking questions, lots of unattended township, school district and city meetings taking place outside of public scrutiny.

The conventional wisdom is that the public dialog is doomed.  With newspapers laying off reporters and going out of business, who will fill the void?

You will.

If you can write and have the fortitude to sit through boring meetings so that we don't have to, that's valuable.

How will you make money?  Advertising?  Subscriptions?  Free will offering?  Grants?

Figure it out and get to work.

You can become the Huffington Post or the of Backwater County. Get started today.
